About my work
Painting forms the core of my practice. It operates not only as a medium, but as a method for structuring perception, while other materials are introduced to establish connections between distinct forms and registers of experience.
The work is shaped by the tension between a fragile, subjective experience of reality and the external structures through which reality is commonly perceived. Universally recognizable and visually seductive motifs function as points of entry, allowing emotional attachment to form before underlying instability becomes apparent. Melancholy emerges not as sentiment, but as a condition produced by this unresolved inner conflict.
Technique is employed deliberately and variably, determined by the specific impression each work seeks to generate. The paintings occupy a subtle threshold between inner and outer worlds, where perception remains fluid and meaning remains open.
